Fundraiser held for Greenfield Elementary School’s new playground

GREENFIELD, N.Y. – A community-wide event will be held Saturday to raise funds for Greenfield Elementary School's new playground scheduled to be built in June.

The event, Knights of Generous Hearts, will feature wine and a tasting of appetizers from restaurants throughout the area.

Recent district safety checks have proven the 25-year-old current playground has outlived its projected use by five years. A new playground more accessible to students with special needs will be built in its place.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Villeroy, an 1863 estate in Greenfield.
