CAVENDISH, Vt. – Two men have been arrested after an adult victim came forward, revealing years of sexual abuse to police.
In February of 2013, the State Police in Royalton began an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the town of Ludlow after an adult victim came forward reporting that he had been repeatedly assaulted since he was 12-years old.
The victim was interviewed and indicated that for the past 12 years, he had been in a sexual relationship with two males. One male resided in Connecticut and one male lived in Vermont. The victim stated that this association began when he was 12 and continued into 2012.
The victim identified the male suspects as Frank Meyer, 39, of West Haven, Conn. and Brett Bartolotta, 42, of Cavendish, Vt.
An investigation revealed that a sexual assault began in approximately 2001 and the victim continued the sexual relationship when he reached the age of consent. Investigation further revealed that the victim was paid money as well as given other gifts for his participation.
On Wednesday, both Meyer and Bartolotta were arrested without incident and processed at the Rockingham barracks. The two are charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault and Slave Trafficking.
Both were subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
Both were arraigned in Windsor County Court Friday.
