PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- A Pittsfield
man is behind bars accused of using money for his elderly mothers' medical care
to support a drug habit.
According to court
documents, Christopher Harrison kept his mother living in filthy conditions
with little food and no medical care all while threatening his family to stay
away.
Police reports say
garbage, razors, used needles, and dirty adult diapers littered the floor and
there was no indication of the last time the woman had food or water.
He's also accused of
stealing his mother's social security checks and needles for her diabetes
treatment to aid his drug addictions.
Harrison is in the Berkshire County Jail on $50,000 bond.
