Pittsfield man gets jail time for home burglaries

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- A Pittsfield man who broke into dozens of Berkshire County homes will spend the next year and a half in jail.

Joseph Berry, 22, pleaded guilty to 23 counts of breaking into homes at night and another 20 counts of breaking into homes during the day, all to burglarize the places.

The break-ins happened between June and September of 2011 in Pittsfield and Hindsdale.
