COLONIE, N.Y. -- A third dog that was rescued from a U-haul truck in Colonie is finally up for adoption.
Archer, the two-year-old pit bull, was taken to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society after authorities found him and three other dogs freezing and emaciated in the back of a U-Haul.
Police say their owner, Anthony Walker, left them there while he stayed at the Super 8 motel in Colonie.
One of the U-Haul dogs, Nev, has already been adopted. Another, Gavin, has yet to be adopted and a fourth dog, Chanel, just had puppies. The puppies and mother will be available for adoption in four weeks.
If you're interested in taking Archer home, you can find adoption information on their website here.
