UPDATE: Colonie police tell NEWS10 resident, 43-year-old John Belus, has been found. He was located at a Watervliet Avenue hotel just after noon Friday, when investigators were handing out missing person
flyers and discovered that he was registered at the hotel. Belus was treated at the scene by Albany Fire
Department and transported to Saint Peter's Hospital for evaluation.
COLONIE, N.Y. - The Colonie Police Department is asking for the public's help in located a 43-year-old male reported missing this morning just after 10 a.m.
John Belus, from 1 Amboy Drive, was last seen on Tuesday and has since sent text messages to a relative that indicate he may be suicidal. Police say Belus has a history of alcohol abuse and is known to hang out in Albany. He does not drive and is often stays near the bus routes.
He is described as white male, 5'4", 150 pounds, light brown hair, hazel eyes, wearing glasses.
