City: Company illegally selling energy program at Amsterdam doors

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - The City of Amsterdam would like to alert their residents that sales people from a company called "Just Energy" have been soliciting door-to-door trying to sell energy savings programs illegally.

The City Clerk's office says they were alerted of the sales people on the south-side of the city on Monday, Feb. 25th. They say "Just Energy" does not have the required permit for sales within the City of Amsterdam.

If representatives from this company attempt to discuss this program with anyone, the city suggests contacting the Amsterdam Police Department at 842-1100.
