POWNAL, VT - On Friday, at approximately 5:22 p.m., Vermont State Police were dispatched to 5939 US RT 7, Pownal, for a disturbance there.
Upon arrival, the complainant, Mriduls Kumar, 25, reported Christopher Shores Jr., 19, of Pownal, had pointed a firearm at him. Kumar stated as he was entering his residence, he observed Shores Jr. laughing and pointing a firearm at him.
Kumar cited there has been animosity between he and Shores over the previous several days, causing him more fear of being harmed.
After investigation, Shores was taken into custody for simple assault, reckless endangerment, and pointing a firearm at another person.
Shores was released on conditions to appear in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Monday to answer the charges.
