SCHENECTADY,
N.Y. -- Schenectady Police are investigating a burglary at a city mosque that
happened around noon on Wednesday.
Someone
emptied the donation box inside the mosque on Brandywine Avenue and stole close
to $600. Surveillance video captured the suspect attempting to gain
access to the building through a number of different doors and windows.
Once
successfully inside through a window, the president of the mosque Muhammed
Zamani says the suspect then emptied the donation box of the money.
"I've
never seen the guy before," said Zamani. "I just want to know
how he knew what doors to go to and then head directly to the donation
box."
