Woman, teen caught shoplifting in East Greenbush

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y – A 30-year old Albany woman and her 13-year old companion were both arrested Monday after they were spotted hiding merchandise in their clothes and in a handbag and leaving the store without paying for it.

Lismarry Gonzalez, 30, of Third Street, Albany was charged with Larceny and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, based on State Penal Law which makes it a crime for a person to engage in stealing while encouraging a child to also participate.

The juvenile was released on an appearance ticket to report to Probation next week. Gonzalez was released to reappear in East Greenbush Town Court on March 7.
