ALBANY, N.Y. - A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle on Central Avenue in Albany Thursday night.
Albany Police say the pedestrian-auto accident happened around 10:20 p.m. at Central Avenue and King Avenue when 28-year-old Katherine Parker, of Albany, was struck.
Police say Parker was crossing Central Avenue at the intersection crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling in the westbound lane. The driver, 68-year-old Corine Edwards of Albany, was not injured during the incident.
She was treated at the scene by firefighters for several injuries and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital where she later died.
The investigation is ongoing.
