Missing Great Barrington woman found dead

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The search for a missing Great Barrington woman came to a tragic end Thursday morning.

Police say the body of 82-year old Arlene Elliott was found in a wooded area behind Fairview Hospital.

She was reported missing by her family Tuesday night, and police found her car in a parking lot Wednesday about a mile from the hospital.

Authorities say Elliott was not a patient at Fairview.
