Gloversville woman arrested for failing to treat dog's medical conditions

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – A 45-year old woman has been arrested after failing to treat her dog's numerous medical conditions.

The dog, found on February 8, suffered from an eye infection, a skin condition which caused the dog's hair to fall out over large portions of its body, and two ear infections so sever the dog had caused large open wounds to its ears due to over scratching.

According to Gloversville Police, Karen M. Brown of Third Street, Gloversville, was identified as the dog's owner. She was arrested on February 14 after an investigation.

Brown is charged with Having an Unvaccinated Dog, Having an Unlicensed Dog, Overdriving/Torturing/Injuring an Animal, Failure to Provide Food and Sustenance.

She is set to appear in the City of Gloversville Court on February 25th.
