NEWS10 Special Report: Dangerous Ways Kids Are Getting High

Alcohol and marijuana are no longer parents' only concerns when it comes to their teenagers.  In fact what's inside your medicine cabinet could actually be more dangerous.

"It's a lot more intense than smoking marijuana or drinking," says a teenager who used.

Wednesday on NEWS10 at 11 p.m., you'll meet a 23-year-old who became addicted when he was 18.

"Once I started, I wanted to try new things to feel a way I hadn't felt before, which led me to experiment with other types of things," he says.

You'll also meet a parent, who had no idea what her son was into.

"I never thought it would happen to me, or to my kid, but it does," she says.

You'll hear from a doctor, who says teens are putting their bodies at risk.

"I didn't know anything about addiction," says a teen who used. "I didn't see myself becoming an addict. I figured everyone was doing it and that I could just stop when I wanted to stop, but I couldn't stop."

Wednesday night at 11 p.m., in Taryn Kane's special report, you'll learn what you need to know to protect your kids.
