Two men arrested, charged with larceny from Getty Mart
TOWN OF MALTA, N.Y. – Two men have been arrested in connection with a Getty Mart larceny that occurred this past January.
Donald J. Koenig, 42, of Gansevoort, and Mitchell D. Walker, 50, of Burnt Hills, were arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, as the result of an investigation into the January 23rd incident.
Allegedly, Koenig and Walker, working together, stole $3,763.00 from the Getty Mart on Route 9 in the Town of Malta.
Police believe the pair arrived in the same vehicle. Allegedly, Walker distracted the clerk while Koenig removed an envelope filled with cash from the business.
Shortly afterward, police say Koenig and Walker left together, in the same vehicle.
Koenig was arrested on January 30th, arraigned before Malta Town Justice McKevitt, and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail without bail. Walker was arrested on February 14th, arraigned before Milton Town Justice Schroeder, and was also remanded to the Saratoga County Jail without bail.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear in the Malta Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
