Watervliet man to be presented 48th Annual Four Chaplains Brotherhood award

ALBANY, N.Y. – Albany Post 105 of the Jewish War Veterans will present the 48^th Annual Four Chaplains Brotherhood award to a local man Sunday.

Ron Lewis of Watervliet will receive the honor at the Stratton VA Medical Center Chapel in Albany at 2:30 p.m.

Post Commander Lance Allen Wang, an Iraq War veteran, will present the award to Lewis.

2013 marks the 70^th anniversary of the loss of the Four Chaplains during WWII. They gave their lives in the sinking of the Dorchester on Feb. 3, 1943. The Brotherhood Award honors those residents of the Capital District whose services and devotion in the practice of brotherhood deserving of recognition.
