Fugitive from Justice arrested after falling asleep on porch

READSBORO – A man wanted in Massachusetts is in custody Saturday after falling asleep on a porch in Vermont.

Vermont State Police responded to a residence in Readsboro for a report of an intoxicated male sleeping on the homeowner's porch.

When police arrived, the man was identified as Jessey Deitner, and a check for warrants revealed an active warrant from Berkshire County, Mass.

The offense committed in Mass. was a violation of an abuse prevention order. Based on this, Deitner was arrested for the warrant and charged with being a Fugitive From Justice in Vermont.
