
ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police are investigating the stabbing of a 51-year-old city resident Thursday night on South Pearl Street.
Around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to Albany Medical Center Hospital for a report of a stabbing. Hospital staff informed officers that a male had walked into the emergency department with a stab wound to his abdomen.
The victim told officers that he had been involved in an altercation with a person known to him while in the area of South Peal Street and Mt. Hope Drive when he was stabbed.
The victim is currently listed in stable condition at the hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing.
