ALBANY, N.Y. - A Loudonville Home for Adults maintenance worker has pleaded guilty in Albany County Court to sexually abusing a 91-year-old physically helpless female resident.
District Attorney David Soares says 64-year-old Richard Ragone, of Colonie, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree Sexual Abuse on Wednesday morning.
While on duty in November, Ragone is accused of touching the breast of the resident while she was sleeping.
Ragone remains in custody and will be sentenced to four years in State Prison in addition to ten years of post-release supervision on March 13th.
Ragone is a Level 3 Sex Offender who had been a maintenance worker at the Loudonville Home for Adults since 2008. He was fired after the allegation and then arrested on December 20, 2011 after the investigation.
