North Greenbush police chief steps down

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- After more than three decades serving the North Greenbush community, the police chief is stepping down.

Rocco Fragomeni is leaving his post to become director of the Zone 5 Law Enforcement Academy; he will start his new job on March 5.

Fragonemi said after 32 years with the department, and 14 years as chief, it was time for a change.

His last day is expected to be February 27.
