QUEENSBURY, N.Y. –
A Glens Falls man is in the hospital after sheriff's officers say he failed to negotiate
a turn, striking a utility pole.
On Monday afternoon,
members of the Warren County Sheriff's Office responded to a single car
personal injury motor vehicle crash on Sunnyside Road in the Town Of
Queensbury. The crash occurred east of the intersection of Rockwell Road.
Isaiah D. Woodcock,
31, of Glens Falls, was operating a 2010 Toyota pickup truck on Sunnyside Road
in an easterly direction when he failed to negotiate sweeping left hand
turn. The vehicle exited the highway and
struck a utility pole with the driver's side of his vehicle.
Woodcock was trapped
in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Bay Ridge Fire Department.
He was then transported by Bay Ridge Rescue Squad to the Wilton Fire Department
where an awaiting Med Flight flew him to Albany Medical Center.
An investigation
into the cause of the crash is underway.
