Local school forced to evacuate due to gas leak

MOREAU, N.Y. -- A gas leak forced an evacuation at Moreau Elementary School Monday afternoon.

Students were taken to Tanglewood Elementary in South Glens Falls after National Grid workers detected an outdoor gas leak next to the building.

Students were dismissed at the regular time, but Moreau Elementary will be closed tomorrow while power crews replace a pipe near the school.
