ALBANY, N.Y. – Several children born with congenital heart defects and the doctor that saved them had an outing Sunday in Albany.
February 7-14 is Congenital Heart Defects Awareness week and Sunday's ‘Cardiac Kids Outing' provided families with a chance to share stories, enjoy time together, and learn about American heart Association resources and activities.
Families of 20 children born with congenital heart defects joined Dr. Neil Devejian, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Albany Medical center, at the outing. He was the surgeon that performed on many of the children, and they participated in a video to honor him at the Capital Heart Ball in March.
