Stephentown man faces charges in friend’s death

Posted: Updated:

STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. -- A Stephentown man is facing a long list of charges following a crash last June that killed his passenger.

Brendan Hoffman, 21, has been indicted on 11 counts including Vehicular Homicide, Manslaughter, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident.

On June 28, 2012 Hoffman flipped his car on Cranston Road and left it in a ditch.

Christopher Baker, 24, was thrown 100 feet from the car and killed.

It wasn't until his father reported him missing hours later that police went to the scene and found him.

Hoffman is free on bail.
