Opening statements begin in the trial of the man accused of killing a Schenectady
High School basketball standout back in 2011.
James Wells, 31, is
charged with murder in Schenectady County Court in the shooting death of
15-year old Eddie Stanley, back in June of that year.
Wells' indictment stated a
shootout began after a disagreement at a party in the city, attended by both Wells
and Stanley.
Authorities said Stanley was shot five times.
