TROY, N.Y. - Police in Troy have arrested two additional teens for second-degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of 21-year-old Takim Smith at the Corliss Park apartment complex on Monday night.

Arrested Tuesday night were 19-year-old Eric Mallard and 17-year-old Ravenal Dunbar, both of Troy. These arrests came in addition to the initial arrests of 17-year-old Keith Ferguson and 16-year-old Ahziarh Carter, both of Troy, in connection to Smith's death.

Smith was found at the apartment complex in critical condition with life-threatening stab wounds to his upper torso and body. He later died at the hospital.

Ferguson and Carter were also charged with first-degree robbery.

Smith's grandfather tells NEWS10 they believe the motive of the stabbing was money, as he had just received a large sum of money in a medical settlement. Police say they are taking this info consideration and the investigation is in its early stages.

All four suspects have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
