Former
state Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno was expected to be in federal court Monday
for the start of his re-trial, but the case has been postponed.
There is
still no word on what caused the delay, nor is there any record of a new date.
This is
the second major trial for the 83-year old, coming after an appeals court
ruling last year paved the way for the new trial, following the overturning of his
2009 conviction for honest services fraud.
This new
indictment alleges Bruno received more than $400,000 in kickbacks.
