GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - A Gloversville man has been charged with shooting a handgun in the direction of his father and 11-year-old brother, police say.
The Gloversville Police Department has charged 22-year-old Lovell Armstrong with Menacing and Reckless Endangerment after responding to Grand Street Saturday night for the report of an altercation and gun shot.
Police say it was discovered during the investigation that Armstrong, of 33 Clyde Street, fired a handgun at his father while the two were arguing then fled the scene in a white BMW with a female driver toward Johnstown.
Johnstown Police located the vehicle and Armstrong and the female were subsequently transported back to the Gloversville Police Department for interviews, in which they learned Armstrong fired the shot while confronting his father about a personal matter.
Officers were unable to locate the handgun at the scene or in the vehicle.
Armstrong has been remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility.
