WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. -- In Warren County, Sheriff Nathan "Bud" York says he's concerned about how New York's new gun control law was steam rolled through the legislature.
The sheriff chides New York lawmakers for rushing the law through the legislature without giving the public time to analyze and consider the provisions, and he is uncertain some of the law will have any significant effect on gun violence.
In a letter, sheriff York tells Warren County residents that not all of the state's sheriff's agree or disagree with the new gun law, but he believes they will all enforce New York's laws as required.
