2 dead in fire at home in Indian Lake

INDIAN LAKE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they believe the two people killed in a mobile home fire in Hamilton County were the couple who lived there.

State police say Thursday that autopsies have tentatively identified the bodies as those 71-year-old Anna Tracey and 76-year-old Roy Tracey.

Troopers say their bodies were found Wednesday morning following a fire that destroyed their mobile home, at 197 Pratt Road in Indian Lake, around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say positive identification is pending additional forensic examination. Authorities say the cause of death was smoke inhalation from an accidental fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
