Albany man faces attempted murder charges after grocery store shooting

ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he tried to shoot people inside a grocery store.

It happened last week at the Stadium Deli and Grocery on Ontario Street.

According to police, when officers arrived employees told them a man had entered the store and fired a handgun.

Only two people were inside at the time, neither of the employees were hurt.

Police later arrested 48-year-old Darrell Heggins, and charged him with attempted murder.
