TROY, N.Y. -- A Troy family escaped unharmed after a fire caused extensive damage to their home.
It happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday on Brunswick Road in Troy.
The Brunswick Fire Department told NEWS10 that the blaze started in one of the bedrooms before making its way to the attic and through the roof.
The Brunswick fire chief says cold weather made it difficult for crews to put down the fire, but they were eventually able to get it under control.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
