QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – DNA led to the arrest of a 36-year old man in connection with a Queensbury robbery.
On Monday, the Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested Yvon V. Majeus, 36, of 71 Middle Road
Lake George, N.Y. on one felony count of Robbery in the 3rd-Degree,
one felony count of Grand Larceny in the 4th-Degree and one
misdemeanor count of Petit Larceny.
According to the sheriff's office, on Nov.27, 2012 Majeus
entered Jim's Wines and Liquors on Western Avenue in Queensbury. During
that time, he threatened the store clerk and demanded money from the cash
register. After which, he fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of
cash.
During the investigation, the Warren County Sheriff's Office
secured an article of clothing near the scene and Majeus was linked to the
robbery through DNA testing. He was arraigned in Warren County Court and
remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash
bail $150,000 bond.
He is scheduled to reappear during the month of February.
