NEW ORLEANS, N.Y. - A man has been charged for murdering a Colonie High School graduate at her New Orleans apartment after confessing to the crime, the New Orleans Police Department tells NEWS10.
New Orleans Police Department Spokesperson Garry Flot says 39-year-old Henry Dolliole confessed to beating and strangling 26-year-old Lauren Tanski to death at her residence on Sunday night.
Tanski, a 2004 graduate of Colonie High School, was found inside her apartment in the 2000-block of Urquhart Street around 12:20 a.m. Monday.
Police say Dolliole was the ex-boyfriend of Tanski's roommate. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Tanski's family, who still lives in Colonie, say she moved to New Orleans about two months ago with friends.
