ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple announced the graduation of ten new Deputy Sheriff's from the Zone 5 Law Enforcement Academy Friday.

The newly-graduated Deputies will be assigned to four weeks of additional field training riding with Deputy Sheriffs who are specifically trained to help them transition into their new positions.

Sheriff Apple says many of the new Deputies will be assigned to Clarksville Public Safety Building, from where they patrol the Hilltown Communities, as part of his pledge to maintain a strong law enforcement presence in that section of Albany County.

Sheriff Apple is also swearing in five Deputy Sheriff recruits and three Correction Officers Friday, as well.
