ALBANY, N.Y. - An anti-fracking rally at the Capitol Friday will include Yoko Ono and her son Sean Lennon joining New Yorkers in presenting dozens of boxes with public comments on fracking regulations.
During the rally, at Legislative Office Building, New Yorkers Against Fracking will present the DEC with the record number of public comments on Governor Cuomo administration's proposed fracking rules as the 30-day comment period on the drafted regulations is set to end.
Fracking opponents say, "Those submitting comments have done so under protest because they do not believe any regulations can prevent the dangers the process poses, and disagree with the Cuomo administration's decision to release draft fracking regulations before its own health review has been completed and made public."
The group also held a rally before Cuomo's State of the State on Wednesday.
