GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - A Glens Falls High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly hitting a 17-year-old female student on the buttocks in class.
Police say 47-year-old Kennon Engleman, of Mechanicville, has been charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly touching the student inappropriately during class at the Glens Falls High School and asking her "Why don't you do a dance move for me?"
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Engleman is a social studies teacher, and has been teaching at the high school for 13 years.
He has been put on paid leave while an internal investigation takes place.
