
ALBANY, N.Y. - Nineteen soldiers of the New York Amry's National Guard 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team return home Tuesday, arriving at Albany Airport around noon.
A total of 100 soldiers in all will return home for reunions in Syracuse, New Windsor and NYC in addition to Albany, from demobilization at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. The returning Soldiers are part of the Headquarters Company and Company B of the 427th Brigade Support Battalion.
The soldiers were deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The soldiers performed logistics, administrative and security missions while deployed.
The 27th Brigade mobilized in January 2012 at Camp Shelby. The unit deployed in support of more than 25 different missions and locations throughout the Middle East.
