RENSSELAER, N.Y. - A fast moving fire tore through a two-story building in the City of Rensselaer, leaving much of it destroyed Monday morning.
The Fire Chief tells NEWS10 the cause of the fire at 40 Partition Street is not yet clear, but investigators believe it began in the back of the building.
The smoke could be seen for miles and across the river in the City of Albany.
Fire officials say the building, with a store downstairs and an apartment on the second floor, was occupied.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
