SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - A South Glens Falls woman arrested for abusing her 7-month-old son last August was sentenced to six months in jail Monday.
South Glens Falls Police arrested 19-year-old Krystal Berg after police say she admitted to abusing her son. Police say the infant suffered a fractured right arm as well as bruising to the face and neck.
Police say Berg's father contacted police,
afraid for the child's welfare, during a visit to the Clear View Motel
where Berg lived with her son and boyfriend. The baby's grandfather Marcus Berg tells NEWS10 he is seeking custody of the child.
She was charged with Assault 2nd-degree, a felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.
