TROY, N.Y. - The Troy Fire Department's Battalion Chief, Ray Davis, was involved in a two car accident on Saturday evening, according to the fire department.
Davis was responding to an alarm of fire for a structure on 4th Avenue, pulling out of the main fire station in Troy, when he was struck by a second vehicle, just upon entering the roadway.
The Fire Chief was transported to the Albany Medical Center and has since been released.
The female driver of the second vehicle, Sarah Miller, 30, of Troy, was transported to Samaritan Hospital and has also since been released.
Miller has been ticketed with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, according to Troy Police Captain Cooney.
