BENNTNGTON, Vt. – Bennington Police are looking for two men that allegedly entered a Walmart store, picked up items off a shelf, and attempted to return them.

On Sunday, at about 10:30 a.m., police say two men entered the Walmart store on Northside Drive in Bennington and picked up two items, a Keurig Coffee Maker valued at $110and a 4" canopy memory foam mattress cover valued at $130.

According to police, the men took the items to the service center where they attempted to return the items for a refund. They claimed the items were purchased a few days ago by their boss.

When employees told the men they would have to research the purchase, they left the items behind claiming they would be back.

They did not return.

Store video shows the men leaving in a Ford pick-up truck, possibly with a New York registration.

The two men are described white males of average height. One was wearing a grey zippered jacket with a black lining and the second a full winter coat with a fur trimmed hood, winter cap.

Photos of the pair entering the store, inside, and driving away are attached to this page. If you can recognize either person or the truck you are asked to call Officer William DiNunzio at the Bennington Police Department at (802) 442-1030
