FLORIDA, N.Y. - Two teens accused of murdering fellow Amsterdam teens will be arraigned in Montgomery County Court Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say 16-year-old Anthony Brasmeister and 15-year-old Matthew Phelps, both of Amsterdam, each face two murder and two weapon charges, and will be charged as adults, in the deaths of 16-year-old Paul Damphier and 13-year-old Jonathon DeJesus.
Police say the two teens took the victims into a field in July 2012 and shot them with a rifle. Their bodies were found ten days after they were allegedly killed in a remote field near where they were last seen, off Snooks Corners Road in the Montgomery County Town of
Florida.
