COLONIE, N.Y. - Colonie police say they received a call from the Loudonville Home for Adults after a maintenance worker was observed allegedly touching a 91-year-old resident.
Police say 64-year-old Richard Ragone, of Albany, was observed on November 30, 2012 placing his hands down the shirt of the elderly female victim and rubbing her breasts without her consent.
Ragone is a Level 3 Sex Offender who had been a maintenance worker at the Loudonville Home for Adults since 2008. He was fired after the allegation and then arrested on December 20, 2011 after an investigation.
"He was employed in a non resident care position," Michael Levine, the owner of the Loudonville Home for Adults said in a statement. "When we learned of the inappropriate conduct with the resident he was discharged immediately and the home contacted law enforcement."
He has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Vulnerable Elderly Person 2nd, a felony, and Sexual Abuse 3rd, a misdemeanor. He has been remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
