Coat drive to benefit homeless vets

ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany County has teamed up with PG's Cafe Wednesday for "Katie's Koats," an effort to collect new and gently used coats for the region's homeless and veterans.

As temperatures drop in the Capital Region homeless veterans will be given Katie's Koats to help stay warm this winter. The coat drive was started by Kaitlyn Drobner and her grandmother Patricia Sadowski of Selkirk, owner of PG's Cafe, who wanted to do something to give back to our veterans.

Coats will be donated to Homeless and Travelers Aid Society (HATAS) and brought to one of the locations: 112 State Street, 175 Green Street or 162 Washington Ave.

Coats will be collected through January 31st.
