New Year's Day shooting in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. - Police in Albany say a man was shot in the city on New Year's Day.

The shooting happened on the 50 block of Sherman Street around 2:20 a.m., police say.

The victim was treated on the scene by firefighters and then taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.
