SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - On Monday, New Year's Eve, and the eve of the ‘fiscal cliff,' members of labor and community groups gathered outside of Rep. Chris Gibson's office in Saratoga Springs to "highlight the need for a fair deal on the fiscal cliff."
In light of ongoing negotiations in Washington, the protesters reiterated their demands that Rep. Gibson vote against any deal that doesn't end the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2 percent, or any deal that includes any cuts to Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid.
Protesters dressed in lavish garb for the even that began at 10 a.m. at Gibson's office in Saratoga Springs.
