SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – On Sunday evening, Saratoga Police responded to a personal injury automobile accident on West Fenlon Street near the intersection with Broadway.
As they were making their way to the scene, Officers were advised that the offending vehicle was leaving the scene.
A witness to the accident began following the fleeing offending vehicle as it made its way through the Avenue of the Pines, to the Grande Industrial Park.
The witness was in contact with the Saratoga Springs Police, providing this information as it happened.
Officers located the offending vehicle in the industrial park and identified the driver as William Bell, 25, of Ballston Spa.
When Bell was interviewed by police, it appeared that he was intoxicated.
Bell was given a sobriety test and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Bell was transported to the Saratoga Springs Police Department.
Injuries to the victim were minor.
