ALBANY, N.Y. - The Albany figure skating club held its ninth annual winter ice show Saturday at the Albany Academy Rink.
Budding skaters got to charm and dazzle the crowd with skills and routines they learned this year.
"I like doing tricks and axels and stuff. It's a very fun and traditional thing I always wanted to do, so I'm very happy I got a chance to participate this year," said Sarah Ansong, 10-year old figure skater.
"This is a great way for people to come out, see local skaters -- up and coming skaters. It's also a great family fun event," said Karla Schallehn, Albany figure skating club program director.
Next year, for their tenth anniversary they plan on pulling out all the stops and hope to have a celebrity skater to entertain the crowd.
