Fire damages home on Florence Ave in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - A fire caused considerable structural damage to a home on Florence Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

The kitchen fire occurred at 972 Florence Avenue in Schenectady.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire, either by firefighters or residents of the home.

One woman was led out of the first floor by firefighters when they arrived at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire took around one hour to extinguish.
